Putting God first in everything helps keep us from becoming a slave to our possessions and to our pride.

Upcoming Fundraiser Baseball Game

Annual New York Mets Baseball trip to Citifield on July 1: Mets vs San Francisco Giants. The game is at 4pm and the bus leaves at 1:30pm sharp from in front of the church. The cost is $115.00 per person and includes one ticket to the game, transportation and a sandwich. Holy Week Schedule 2023

Holy Week is a celebration of the mass, institution of the priesthood and the cornerstone of our faith. All are encouraged to participate in these special liturgical events which include Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter vigil. The feast of the Resurrection is celebrated each Sunday, and most especially on Easter. Anyone who is homebound and wishes to receive the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and/or Anointing of the Sick, please call the rectory to schedule a convenient time. Living Stations: Come join us on Good Friday evening for an instrumental music and reenactment of the Stations of the Cross. It is unique opportunity to come together to experience this tradition. Parish Covered Dish Easter Celebration: On April 29, 2023 we will once again share in a banquet and celebrate. While the event is free and open to all, we rely on donations of food, beverages, paper products and service to have this happen. More information will follow.

Our Parish Easter Egg Hunt

Our Parish will be collecting filled Easter Eggs for the Egg hunt on the front lawn on Easter Sunday after the 10am Mass. Please drop off your plastic eggs filled with wrapped candy at the rectory or leave in the food bins in the church. Let's continue this tradition of our Easter Egg hunt on our church lawn on Easter Sunday!

Family Mass, Sunday March 26

Our parish men’s group is asking for our parishioners and friends of Saint Vincent’s to provide baked goods. This is an opportune time to take advantage of the baking talent that God has blessed you with. Everyone is invited to join us in Robinson Hall for this parish get together after the 10am mass on March 26th. Complimentary coffee, baked goods and juices will be available.

Mother's Day Candle Offering

Remember your mom living or deceased in the peace of Christ with a prayer and a candle. The cost is $15.00 per candle. The deadline to submit the form is Sunday, April 23rd. Forms can be found in the entrances of the church and attached below for downloading and printing.

Statement on the Passing of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI

We at St. Vincent's continue to offer special prayers for the eternal rest of Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI. We give thanks to God for his life of service to the Church and God's people. May his soul and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Synod Mass at the Cathedral, Sunday, October 16, 2022

On Sunday, October 16, St. Vincent de Paul parish attended the Synod Mass at the Cathedral. As the only parish from Bayonne in attendance, we were asked to carry the signs for all local parishes. Bill Lucy did the honors of carrying the sign for St. Vincent’s. Susana Rosada carried the St. Henry’s; Doralba Diaz, St. Blessed Miriam Theresa; and Barbara Sherry, John Paul II. Shivnarine Persaud joined us as well as Fabiola Paredes.

All Souls Day Candle Offering

All Souls Day is Wednesday, November 2, this year. St. Vincent's is offering candles that will be set up in the church and lit in a special ceremony. If you would like to purchase a candle for $15 to remember your loved ones, click here to fill in the attached form and drop it off at the rectory by Friday, October 21.

Calling All Catechist Volunteers!

We are currently in need of substitutes and volunteer aides to help out in our program. Classes are held on Sundays, grades 1 through 5 and Tuesday evenings, grades 6 through 8, and on Monday for grade 9 for confirmation. If your schedule allows, please consider offering your time and talent to share and teach the youth of our parish. Note: Our Diocese requires that all volunteers complete a "Protecting God's Children" training session in order to volunteer. Register Now for St. Vincent's CCD Program 2022/23

The registration for our Religious Education CCD program is now opened and will conclude on September 9. Classes for grades 1-9 will resume in mid-September, in-person, conducted in Robinson Hall. Early registration and multiple children registration offers a discount for those who register before August 31. Sign Up for Our Peddler's Village Trip in November!

St. Vincent's annual bus trip to Peddler's Village is on Saturday, November 5. Bus departs in front of the church at 10:00 AM sharp and will depart Peddler's Village at 6:30 PM. Estimated return time to church at 8:00 PM. Cost per person is $115. Please RSVP to Kim Spiniello at (201) 233-7384. Make checks payable to St. Vincent de Paul Church and mark "Peddler's Village" in the note. Drop off checks to the rectory or put in collection basket in an envelop marked "Peddler's Village Trip." Total seats in the bus are 49 so please secure your spot as soon as possible. Deadline to RSVP is 9/25.

St. Vincent de Paul Celebration Day, Sept. 24

Save the date for our St. Vincent de Paul Celebration on Saturday, September 24, following the 5pm mass. We will join together to share food, traditions, and joy. The event is open to all. Donations of beverages, food and paper products are greatly appreciated. Please consider participating. Our theme is "We Are Family."

The church of St. Vincent de Paul has the privilege to welcome our Holy Cross of Gratitude from the Ukraine. For veneration of the Holy Cross, our schedule is as follows: Monday to Wednesday: 7 - 9am, 3 - 4pm. Thursday: 7 - 9am. Memorial Walkway: Buy a Brick Fundraiser
